nOvas 1st Try- Organic Gemini Tiger Nuts

Ok…HAVE YOU TRIED #TIGERNUTS?
If anyone knows me, they know I’m am very picky when it comes to food. My resolution for 2015 was to expand my palate. Soooooo here goes my review of TIGER NUTS!

On first look…they look look like a dried bean.

Upon further inspection  of package it says. THEY ARE NOT NUTS..they are actually tubers, small root veggies. The taste is supposed  to be sweet and nutty. Tiger Nuts fueled 80% of the PALEO ancestors diet 2 million years ago. SEE MY VIDEO BELOW!

This is the video reaction to me trying  Tiger Nuts for the very 1st time!

Ok…as you can see…I DO NOT like Tiger Nuts, but I really  only like peanuts. These have the consistency of a walnut, flavored like a chestnut… you can also put them in water to soften and enhance flavor.

I’m going to try a wet one, then I’m going to try to plant one… i mean it is a tuber…shouldn’t  it sprout something? Lol check back. On a scale of 1-5 I’d  have to say 1… I didn’t  like them at all

WHY: My co-worker ordered the $5.99 LUNCH special at 12:30 pm, they thought she wanted a DINNER salad at LUNCH…
HOW I CAME UP…she went ahead and paid for the meal and split it with me, it was too big for her and hit the spot!

$$TIP$$… Pay attention  when taking orders. Repeating the order back to ensure accuracy goes a very long way!

#TBT Fashion… The 80’s revisited

Ahhhhh the 80’s! When I drift back to that space and time…. the things that come to mind…
My family (all of us together) I miss us! Sunshine… the 80’s looking  back my memories are ALWAYS sunny and bright. (I think that means i had a good childhood) I think of the things we no longer have the privilege  of having, like REAL Jell-O pudding pops.

Then I think back to the FASHION of the 80’s …what were we thinking… or were we even thinking at all?

As much as people like to harp on the totally rad clothing of the 80’s, I’m finding myself slipping  back to grab a few pieces from my childhood. Back then I couldn’t  afford to rock my VINTAGE T-SHIRTS but I can’t  get enough of them.

I also notice that 80’s clothing  have been trending in the following places…
*Closets of teens who are just discovering their sense of style
*The 25+ age group when it comes to club and lounge wear.
*Movies and advertising

It made me wonder, do my friends have ANY of their wardrobe from the 80’s? How would I do with a trendy shop dedicated to the decade(s) I love.

Life Coach… will this work for me?

For years I’ve  wondered, what is a “Life Coach?” What is the big deal? Do I really need one… then I met Garry! Thank you for taking a chance on me!

I didn’t  even know how they worked..I did a little research before talking with Garry the Life Coach.
One of the 1st things I realized is that Garry is NOT a therapist. He is here to assist me with the goals I have set in place…so that I accomplish what I want to do.  He’s  not my Dad, my shrink, or the police… he is here to COACH me and provide tools that will enable me to reach my desired goals.

Coaching is training or development in which a person called a “coach” supports a learner in achieving a specific personal or professional goal. The learner is sometimes called a “coachee”. Occasionally, “coaching” may mean an informal relationship between two people, of whom one has more experience and expertise than the other and offers advice and guidance as the latter learns; but coaching differs from mentoring in focusing on competence specifics, as opposed to general overall development.

I’ve  already faced some eye opening  truths about the way I handle myself and how I approach business.

Advertising gone FALSE!

Don’t get me wrong…it’s not about more food. It’s about paying for something that they aren’t giving me. If i pay i want it just like you advertised.
I can’t  take it anymore. Is it me or does everyone  feel the sandwiches advertised on TV doesn’t  match your experience in the store. Subway commercials fail to mention…
🍴The measurement  of meat/cheese– I feel like I’m being robbed on a 6in.. it is 1 piece of cheese (cut in half) and 2 very thin pieces of (let’s  say black forest ham) on a 6in… 2-3 meatballs , the steak and cheese or grilled chicken… it’s  really skimpy!
IS THIS STANDARD? I feel like some franchises are skimming the product to save $$ but not passing the savings down to their customers!

I’d really be curious as to how much the meat weighs on this sandwich vs what is in the little prepared trays of meat.

DEAR SUBWAY EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT…. humor me and let’s  test this out.
